SCRIPTS needs to be brought to my office on their due date (or in advance). If I’m not in, STAPLE THEM TOGETHER PLEASE and slide them under my door.
You will export your story from Premiere as a Quicktime movie. To export, go to Premiere’s “File” menu and select “Export” and then “Media.” A new window will open. Near the top, change the “Format” to “Quicktime.” Next, change the “Preset” to “HD 1080i 29.97, H.264, AAC 48kHz.” Next, click on the gold writing next to the “Output Name”. A “Save As” window will open. Fill in “Save As” with the name of your project like this: YOUR LAST NAME, NAME OF STORY, PROJECT 1 (or 2). For example, if I create a Project One about a wrestler, I would name my project: GroganWrestlerProject1. Save to the TV News Bridget folder. If you can’t save directly into that folder, just save to the desktop and drag and drop the story from the desktop into my folder. After you click the “Save” button at the bottom of the “Save As” window, next click the “Export” button at the bottom of the “Export Settings” window. Your export will probably take about 5 minutes.
If the export option gives you an error message (re: compiling), re-boot the computer and try again. If export option still doesn’t work, try the “queue” option instead.
To connect to the Bridget folder if you don’t see it on your desktop: From the Finder menu at the top of the screen, click on the “Go” tab. Select “Connect to Server”. Choose “Browse” Find the CJC-FACM-2309 Folder and click on it. If you don’t see it on the list, here is the address: afp://CJC-FACM-2309.local. It will open with two choices (TV News Bridget and 6pm.) Drop your project into TV News Bridget.
